Skankin’ Drops, a reggae band from Bolzano, was formed in 2013 and has played numerous gigs in clubs and festivals. Their show features rocksteady, early ska, and new reggae rhythms, along with forays into dub and dancehall. Years of experience have solidified their groove, combined with a warm and powerful sound, resulting in an engaging and energetic live performance. At the end of 2020 Skankin’ Drops digitally and on vinyl released their first album, powered by Shanti Powa Records. The album consists of 9 original tracks and 2 dub versions (Wicked & Bonny and Back A Wall Records). In 2022, they began collaborating with Samuel “Jah Heard”, a well-known reggae singer from the local scene, and Susanna Moretti as a backing vocalist. The new Skankin’ Drops project exploded with renewed energy and a more mature, modern, and incisive sound, leading to numerous original productions in English, Italian, Neapolitan, and Salentino dialect. Skankin’ Drops are ready and waiting for you at their concerts!
