Our adventure todays takes us to: Alpe di Tesido
We follow the tarmac cycle path as far as Welsberg. Then we leave the main valley and it starts to get quite steep. The ascent to the Taistner Alm is very long and strenuous and can be roughly divided into two parts: the first half is on a steep tarmac road through the village of Taisten to the car park after the ‘Mudler’ inn, the second part is on a gravel road, but is more regular and not as steep. Once we arrive at the Taistner Alm, it would almost be a sin not to indulge in one of the typical South Tyrolean specialities in the midst of the magnificent mountain scenery. Afterwards, the route back to Taisten is an exciting mix: from flowing forest paths to single trails, everything is included. We cycle the last few kilometres back to Dobbiaco on the cycle path again.
