The Platt youth band is a group of over 40 young musicians from Platt and some from the neighbouring villages of Pfelders/Plan, Moos/Moso, Rabenstein/Corvara, St. Leonhard/S. Leonardo and Walten/Valtina who come together to make music.
The beginnings of the youth band date back 8 years. An initially small group of motivated young musicians, who were given the opportunity to make music with the existing youth band in Huben in the Ötztal Valley as part of a cross-border project, quickly formed into an ever-growing troupe. Soon an independent youth band was founded in Platt. It is thanks in particular to the many years of youth work by our youth leaders from the Platt band that we can now boast so many young musicians.
As a member of the youth band, the children and young people can gain important experience, both at their first big performance in front of an audience and during rehearsals in the preparation period. The path then leads from the youth band directly to joining the music band in the respective village.
All children, young people and the young at heart who enjoy music and playing their instrument are welcome to join the Platt youth band. Because our motto is: "Brass music unites!"
