Dumplings are simple and absolutely delicious. With spinach, cheese, beetroot, bacon, apricot – so many ingredients and fillings. At the Dumpling Festival, you can heartily dig in as the kitchen serves plate after plate of this rustic yet refined favourite dish. Year after year, more than 26,000 dumplings are eaten at the festival in St. Johann in Tirol. Guests sit at an extra-long table in the village centre. On this day, St. Johann becomes Tyrol's dumpling hub!
The delicious flavours are accompanied by a cosy atmosphere, traditional music, and an entertainment programme. Dumpling connoisseurs can look forward to the original cookbook, the dumpling badge, or simply a freshly tapped beer. Tickets sell out quickly, but some become available again from people who have to cancel. So, regularly check the Dumpling Festival website to see if there's a spot free.
