This harvest celebration honouring the stalwart potato serves to ring in fall festivities in Wildermieming. A rich variety of homemade delights and live music celebrate the great and plentiful potato!
Starting at 4:00pm, the farmers of Wildermieming present the “Schölfelerfest” Potato Day at the local fire department. The entire family will enjoy a day of toe-tapping musical entertainment, tasty food and kids’ activities. Sink your teeth into a baked potato with your choice of delicious toppings, including cheese, bacon or quark. All culinary delicacies are prepared by local farmers and their wives. Wildermieming’s celebration goes beyond feasting on the versatile spud with live music. For little ones, there will be face painting, pony riding and a bouncy castle.
The day is rounded out with the “Fox Dance Night”.
