The tour begins on the picturesque Plätzwiese plateau, one of the most beautiful High Plateaus in the Dolomites, which transforms into a magical winter wonderland. Winter hike with or without snowshoes (depending on snow conditions) to Mount Strudelkopf (2307 m). The view from the summit of Strudelkopf offers breathtaking vistas of the famous Three Peaks and other towering Dolomite peaks.
Refreshment stop. Difficulty: easy. Time: 09:00 am.-04:00 pm. Walking time: in ascent 2 hours, descent: 1,5 hour. Altitude difference: 328 m.
Departures: at 08:30 am. at the bus stop at the head of Val Casies Valley – S. Maddalena, 08:35 am. Val Casies Valley – S. Martino, 08:45 am. Val Casies Valley – Colle, 08:55 am. Tesido, 09:00 am. Monguelfo bus station in Via Stazione (opposite the Bar Parkcafé).
