Federico Nuti's debut album “InFormal Setting” was released by HORA Records in September 2022 and earned the Tuscan pianist and composer second place in the “Miglior Nuovo Talento” category at “Top Jazz 2022” by “Musica Jazz”.
Nuti is joined by four of the most exciting musicians of the new Italian generation: Francesco Panconesi (tenor saxophone), Jacopo Fagioli (trumpet), Amedeo Verniani (double bass) and Mattia Galeotti (drums). The line-up is reminiscent of a classical jazz quintet, but the music combines diverse contemporary styles of Afro-American and European origin.
“InFormal Setting” stands for the balance between formal structures and spontaneous freedom, a space in which opposites merge to create new musical images.
