A mountain village such as Pieve di Marebbe can also be fascinating for younger children (4-8 years old) who, accompanied by guides, can discover the peculiarities of the farmhouses, barns, bread ovens, fountains and the paths that were once the only way out or into the valley.
Weather permitting, the children, who may also be accompanied by their parents, will take a walk with the guides from the centre of Pieve to the Brach mill. Along the way, the guides will tell them some episodes from the Fanes legends and the stories of the Ladin hero better known as Gran Bracun. The children will then have the opportunity to learn about medicinal herbs and some of nature's fruits such as wild strawberries and raspberries.
In case of bad weather, the meeting will be held in the House of Culture in Pieve. The children will have the opportunity to play various games together, which will help them learn words in Ladin. The Italian-Ladin dictionary will also be used for this purpose, explained in such a way that even the youngest children can easily understand.
