Blooming Life
For many people, the cemetery is a place of silence and remembrance, but upon closer inspection, it reveals itself as a living ecosystem rich in biodiversity. Biologist Eberhard Steiner provides interesting insights into the various forms of life in this special 'biotope' and shows how a targeted selection of plants can further promote biodiversity. Taking the cemetery of Lana as an example, the scientific correlation between flora, fauna, and the 'cultural landscape' of the cemetery will be examined.
This original walk in the greenery is promoted by the Committee for Lifelong Education.
