For its 52nd year, the Marcialonga returns to the Fiemme and Fassa Valleys. This renowned competition attracts athletes from all over the world each year, representing a truly international moment of sport and friendship!
Along the 70km route, thousands of fans cheer on the competitors right up until the very last one, who reaches the finish line as evening falls, welcomed by spectacular fireworks in the Cavalese sky. Throughout the day, Cavalese hosts food stalls, a giant screen to follow the race and Marcialonga-branded merchandise.
The history of the Marcialonga is practically the history of cross-country skiing in Trentino and Italy. It's not just a simple weekend festival; it's a tradition that involves everyone – schoolchildren, families, shopkeepers, tourism operators and the entire population in general. The Marcialonga becomes a genuine opportunity to come together, a unique moment of joy and celebration where the people of two neighbouring valleys unite to create a fantastic event.
