Nature under the microscope: meteorites

Nature under the microscope: meteorites

What better place than the Natural Science Museum of South Tyrol to explore the mysteries of the microcosm? In this unique workshop we will go in search of something truly special: stardust hidden in ordinary dust. Micrometeorites are tiny, ranging in size from a few micrometers to a few millimeters. With the help of a professional microscope and our experts, we will try to make them visible!
However, it is not certain that we will be able to find micrometeorites-it would be the first such discovery in South Tyrol. This makes the workshop an exciting opportunity to witness firsthand the search for a fragment of cosmic history!

With David Gruber, astrophysicist and director of the Natural Science Museum of South Tyrol.
