Presentation of a snow groomer

The “cat” in “snowcat” is actually short for “caterpillar”, but over here in South Tyrol we liked the English term so much that we translated it literally… and now we call our snow groomers “Schneekatzen”. This presentation will be an opportunity for you to meet our 14-tonne purring monster and get inside its cab. The driver will be happy to tell you all about how snowcats work, and to let the children have a “tour” of the cabin. Fun fact: being a snowcat driver has become the dream job for many South Tyrolean children, replacing the more traditional excavator driver and ship’s captain.
