The Fairy's Christmas Parade

Experience the magic of Christmas in Moena: parade through the town centre with Father Christmas, stroll among the market stalls and celebrate 50 years of Dolomiti Superski with us.

During the festive season, Moena town centre transforms into a genuine Christmas village. Stroll among the decorated chalets offering many ideas for last-minute gifts, from fabrics and handicrafts to delicious treats to enjoy at home. Children's laughter rings out in the two squares, where a carousel with horses, a miniature train, and even Father Christmas's house are set up. All this is accompanied by concerts and travelling shows inspired by Ladin traditions and old fairy tales.

Moena and its community are celebrating the start of the festive season and 50 years of Dolomiti Superski with a special parade. The parade, which will start from Piaz de Ramon and end in Piaz de Sotegrava, will feature numerous groups and sports associations from Moena and the neighbouring valleys, accompanied by music from the Moena Town Band. Among the participants, along with Father Christmas and his elves, will be the Coro Enrosadira choir, the ski instructors from Moena and Falcade, the Scufons in their traditional costumes, the ski clubs, the youngsters from the Unione Sportiva Monti Pallidi, the athletes from Moena Sport Ginnastica Ritmica, and many other friends of the "Fairy of the Dolomites".

A particularly significant moment will be the arrival of the "Olympic torch" in Moena, to celebrate half a century of Dolomiti Superski and pay tribute to the pioneers of the Alpe Lusia/San Pellegrino Consortium with the awarding of honours. After the parade, celebrations will continue in Piaz de Sotegrava with a reflection on the history of the valley's ski lifts and the presentation of the artwork "Enrosadira", created for the occasion by the Piedmontese artist Daniele Basso.
