Through The Vault

Through The Vault

On the occasion of the opening of the new exhibition AMONG THE INVISIBLE JOINS. Works from the Enea Righi Collection, the Museion Art Club presents ‘Through the Vault’. The evening is inspired by the notion of mystery and intimacy associated with private collections and takes a multi-sensory journey through live performances and a DJ set. In an immersive setting reminiscent of the aesthetics of vaults, the audience is invited to explore what normally remains hidden and inaccessible through music and performance.

Evening programme:
- 20:30 - 21:00: Live set by Angel Anger
- 21:15 - 22:00: Live set by Rat Section
- 22:00 - 24:00: DJ set by Low Jack b2b STILL

Thematically, the evening is inspired by the title and the intentions of the exhibition: Hidden treasures kept in secret places such as private villas or armoured vaults serve as a starting point to reflect on the past, present and future of art and their mutual relationships.

The event will take place on the first basement floor of the museum, just a few steps away from the depot rooms where the non-exhibited holdings are stored. Like the vaults of a bank, the depots are private, alarmed and protected by reinforced concrete pillars, where works are waiting to be shown to the public. A top secret area of the museum that arouses curiosity and symbolises the relationship between the general public and contemporary art, which is characterised by distance and sometimes also reverential shyness. The set design of the evening also evokes these feelings by using reused materials such as concrete blocks, black curtains and aluminium scaffolding.
