Swiss-Canadian nature photographer, filmmaker and author Peter A. Dettling, who specializes in documenting wild animals and wolves in particular, will present the “Wolf Dynasties” event at the Nature Museum on April 2.
In 2005, Peter A. Dettling first came face to face with wild wolves in the Canadian wilderness. This encounter left a deep impression on him. He has since photographed, filmed and studied several wolf families in North America and Europe for several years and has recorded his experiences in books and documentaries.
On Wednesday, April 2 at 6 p.m., Dettling will present the multimedia show “Wolf dynasties. 20 years of field observations and experiences with wild wolves.” Dettling will give the audience an insight into the hidden and fascinating life of wolves from the Alps to the Rocky Mountains. He will then present his recently published book of the same name.
Peter Dettling is a wildlife photographer, documentary filmmaker and author; who became known for his film “Once Around the Sun with Calanda Wolves,” Dettling brought his many years of experience in wildlife photography and research on North American wolves to his documentation of Swiss wolves.
